This Website will include news from around the Club and South Derbyshire bowls leagues.
Belper Pottery Bowls Club is located on the Whitemoor Recreation Ground next to the Greyhound Inn, Whitemoor Lane, Belper, Derbyshire and is a highly successful club.
There are two greens one with floodlights for those dark evenings plus tea and coffee making facilities and beer from the Greyhound Inn.
We have male, female and mixed teams playing both singles and doubles and many juniors who bowl with us in the various teams.
Children from Alfreton Parkwood School, Milford School and Belper High School
are receiving lessons on bowling from our club.
Current players are of all standards from complete Beginner to Open Competition winners.
You are never too young OR old to start bowling!
We are currently looking for members of all ages to further boost our squads and increase our club stature.
We always on the lookout for new members to help us , even if your helping the lower teams so someone can play for the Higher Teams or just looking for a roll = (bowlers slang for a friendly amongst members).
When we play matches they usually start at 7.00pm weekdays or occasionally 6.30pm on Whitemoor Green 2,
And 2.00pm Saturday league games and 2.00pm Sundays for club competitions.
