THURSDAY's and SATURDAY's
We meet on a Thursday evening every week (see Session Diary) at either The Rising Sun or The Green Man in Willington on the South Derbyshire/East Staffordshire Border (see How to get there page) and we also run monthly concerts in The Kiln at Sharpe's Pottery Museum in Swadlincote (see Concert Diary).

The Real-Music-Club is an independent not-for-profit organisation.
We believe Live Entertainment is precious and needs to be nurtured.
All funds are reinvested in performers, running costs and equipment.
We do this because we love it.
Quality performers, intimate, friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and an audience who appreciate live entertainment. This is so special.
Doors open at 7.30pm and we start at 8pm(ish). We aim to finish at 11pm.
There is a No Smoking policy in operation at all venues.
The room at The Green Man only holds 30 or so people and The Kiln only 73.
Open Sessions
FREE Admission for everyone, whether performing or not. We will be passing a hat round for club funds.
This is an informal gathering of singers, musicians, poets, storytellers, and jugglers, in fact anyone that can do anything that is entertaining, safe and legal (remember these are small local pubs so I think dance and trapeze may be out).
We don't automatically provide a PA for Open Sessions, but sometimes (if requested) have monitor speakers, mixer and Mics set up to enrich the sound. The room doesn't really need it and messing with PA's all seems to result in less singing time.
If you want to bring your own amplification feel free.
The club is intimate not intimidating and friendly not frightening. Just sit and watch or drop in or out of a round as you want. It’s your night.

Please note prices, dates, times and events may be subject to change. The organisers reserve the right to cancel events if necessary but ticket monies paid will be refunded. We will act honourably and honestly but cannot accept responsibility beyond the return of ticket price paid.
Doors open 7.30pm.
Tickets in advance or on the door (subject to availability). A ticket allows entry; it does not guarantee a seat.

Every night is a good night-out, but what's really exciting is that every so often something very, very special happens.
