Hello again you lovers of live 60s Music ! The season is well underway with a terrific programme for you. See below.
Pic. is of the 'old' 4 Aces (now THE ACES), specially taken for their new series of gigs since re-forming. There are more Rigsby’s Pix - see left. Other Rigsby's pix will go here as I get them. If you have any, email them to me please.
Since the first gig in 2003 there have been many memorable "Derby Groups of the 60s" nights at Rigsby's. Why not come along and enjoy!
The revised 2004-2005 schedule is as follows. Of course we will also have a 60s DJ spinning more tunes from the time.
2004 – 2005 SCHEDULE
October 1st Six Across/The Keystones - A great night it was too!
November 5th Divalution/Strange Days - Another blast from the past plus a brassy classic.
December 3rd Spinning Wheel/The Aces – Sets from some cool dudes.
January 7th Jurassic/Twist and Shout
February 4th Godfrey's G & S B/The Vibrons
March 4th Dave Kaye and the Dykons
April 1st The Aces, filling the stage and playing the whole gig!
Kick-off around 8p.m. thro Midnight. No ticket necessary - just £3.00 this time, on the night. See you there!
The chosen venue (Rigsby’s at the Macklin Street end of Abbey Street in Derby) is within walking distance of the City centre and there is ample security controlled parking across the road. It's just great for our gigs.The BIG BEAT BASH is on the first Friday of every month with bands such as; The Aces, Strange Days, Six Across, The Vibrons, The Strangers, The Rapids, The Keystones, Godfrey’s Grit and Soul Band, MIDAS, Godfrey’s Grit and Soul Band, Divalution………
Finally, another appeal – We need still more 60s bands. Write to me if you are in one and wish to play at future events.
